Favorites of the year at Liget Royal Restaurant in Hévíz-the 10/10 cottage cheese dumplings, supposedly the best in the country
Mától megújult a Liget Royal Étterem étlapja, no de mielőtt az újdonságokról beszélnénk, tekintsünk kicsit vissza – felhasználva a Google vendégvélemények oldalát - lássuk, mik voltak az év slágerételei a Liget Royal Étteremben. A sok-sok ötcsillagos visszajelzés nem csak elismerés csapatunknak, de útjelzőként is szolgálhat a vendégeknek, hiszen a részleteket elolvasva nem kell sokat rágódniuk azon, hogy érdemes-e ide betérni! Vendégeink kínálati palettánk teljes spektrumát kipróbálták az év során, sokan állandó étlapunk ételeit részesítették előnyben, míg mások heti séfajánlatából válogattak, de a legtöbben hetente megújuló kedvezményes ebédmenü-kínálatunkból ismerték meg az egyedi royalos ízeket, ami, mint tudjuk, mindig a hagyományosra épít, de egy kis 21. századi csavarral.
- "This restaurant is located in the center of Hévíz, within walking distance of the Hévíz Lake campsite. The restaurant has a modern interior, a pleasant atmosphere and appropriate music. The menu is varied, everyone can find something for themselves. The service is excellent; the staff speaks good German and is very attentive. The food we ordered was delicious. We have never eaten so good in Hungary." - Yvonne wrote a few weeks ago. The photos she uploaded show that they were tempted by the dishes from our permanent menu and our chef's offer: Apple beetroot cream soup, Beef tartare with horseradish mayonnaise, toast, Ham pâté, Cordon Bleu with Vászoly cheese, mashed potatoes, roasted heart salad, Duck breast with carrots, ginger, crispy buckwheat, Poppy seed cake, Salted caramel coffee mousse, and they also chose from our cocktails.- Izabella Tímea was also inspired by our permanent menu, who chose Chicken with baked sweet potatoes, spinach, feta and pomegranate, and had this to say about Liget Royal Restaurant:
- "A beautiful, elegant and clean restaurant, with polite waiters. The food and drinks were very delicious, tasty and beautifully served. Excellent value for money, I can only recommend it to everyone."
Vivien's uploaded photos are the clear proof that her opinion was well founded, as to our greatest delight - with a slight exaggeration - they tasted almost our entire permanent menu selection and our weekly chef's offer - Veal liver with mashed potatoes, Knuckle pâté, Shrimp spaghetti, Gnocchi with truffles, Chicken soup, Beef goulash, Onion sirloin with French fries, Rice puffs with chocolate sauce - with all this in mind, it was a particularly good feeling to read her kind lines:
- "It's hard to find words to describe the experience we had at this place. The service was fantastic, they really made us feel that they were happy for us. I also liked the style of the place, it was uniform and very designer! The food was indescribably delicious, and all the flavors were in harmony with each other! In terms of price-value ratio, it was not more expensive than any other normal restaurant, but it added a lot to the experience! Thank you very much for this gastronomic experience! I can only recommend this place to everyone!”
- Péter’s words are also authentic – “We had lunch there several times. The service was excellent and incredibly friendly. The food was outstanding. The atmosphere is very pleasant. We will definitely go back when we are in Hévíz.” -, if only because he based it on more than one experience. Based on the photos he uploaded, he certainly tasted the Veal Liver with mashed potatoes, crispy onions, the Duck Breast with carrots, ginger, crispy buckwheat, and he didn’t miss our Belly Steak with rosemary grilled potatoes, confit garlic spice butter.
And Evelin decided to visit the Liget Royal Restaurant in Hévíz based on Google reviews! She described her experience as follows:
- “I was not disappointed! Based on the comments, I thought we would try this restaurant. And how right we were! 🥰😍 We received very kind service, the atmosphere was wonderful and the food was very delicious. I would definitely go back. The price-value ratio is absolutely fine for the level! 5 stars!! Thank you!”
- Her photos reveal that from our chef's offer, she liked the Salmon pappardelle with blue cheese, while from our regular menu, she tasted the Beef Tartare.
Gabriella gave detailed feedback on our weekly discounted lunch menu, which many of our guests choose, as the friendly price - 2 courses were only 3,290 HUF - and the daily dessert was only 1,500 HUF - did not exclude the usual gourmet experience that the Liget Royal Restaurant in Hévíz tries to create with all its dishes. Gabriella reported on all of this as follows:
- “This was our first time at the restaurant since its renovation. We had a menu that was very, very delicious and tasty. The soup was cauliflower cream soup, with veal and other decorative elements that enhanced the flavors even more. The main course was garlic rib, with potatoes and coleslaw. The meat was tender and buttery, the coleslaw and potatoes were also perfectly prepared. Congratulations to the chef! We also really liked the decor and atmosphere of the restaurant. The staff was nice and friendly. The restroom was also nice, clean, and well-equipped.
In short, we were satisfied with everything! We left full! We will go back! We recommend this restaurant to everyone in Hévíz! Oh, and they also have pizza. The table next to us ate that and it was also very tasty. Well, next time!”
Katalin wrote in her feedback that it was her first time in Hévíz, and luckily they chose us. We can only hope that the next time they come here, they will definitely want to go there and we can welcome them back to our table!
- “Everything was wonderful! Divine food, kind service, good music (not too loud), that’s all we needed for a fantastic evening! This was our first time in Hévíz, it was the first restaurant we visited and it will be very, very difficult to top it! 😍 The cottage cheese dumplings… I think they are the best in the country! I definitely give them a 10/10!”
Finally – if we are trying to review the menu for 2025 based on some guest reviews – we should also mention the special occasions for which the Liget Royal Restaurant has prepared a special offer, usually a three-course special menu or even a menu. Such an event was Restaurant Week in spring and autumn, and now St. Martin’s Day in November.
